This Privacy Policy describes how simplejobsearch.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use SimpleJobMatch. By using the service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google in accordance with your Google account permissions.
1.2 Resume and Job Description Content
When you run an analysis, you provide resume content and a job description — either by uploading a file (PDF or Word) or by pasting text. This content is processed to generate your match report.
1.3 Usage Data
We collect data about how you use the service, including the number of analyses run, timestamps, and account activity. This information is used to enforce tier limits and to improve the service.
1.4 Payment Information
If you subscribe to the Pro tier, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card number or payment details. Stripe provides us with a customer identifier and subscription status. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for information about how Stripe handles your payment data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the SimpleJobMatch service
- Generate AI-powered match reports based on your uploaded content
- Enforce Free tier usage limits
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send you transactional emails (account confirmation, billing notifications, usage alerts)
- Respond to your support requests
- Improve the service through aggregate, anonymized usage analysis
3. How We Do Not Use Your Information
We do not:
- Sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes
- Use your resume content or job description content to train AI models
- Use your data for any purpose beyond providing the service described in this policy
- Store your uploaded files beyond what is necessary to generate your report (see Section 5)
4. Data Storage and Security
Your account data and analysis results are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase, Inc. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS) and access controls.
No system is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you become aware of any security issue, please contact us immediately.
5. File Retention
When you upload a resume or job description file, it is used to extract text for analysis and then deleted immediately after processing. We do not retain raw uploaded files beyond the duration of the analysis request.
The extracted text content from your analysis (used to generate your report) is stored in our database for the purpose of:
- Displaying your report results
- Saving your analysis history (Pro tier)
- Pre-populating your resume on future analyses (Pro tier, if you enable this)
You can delete your saved analyses and resume data at any time from your account settings.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information and analysis history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and analysis history within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal or financial compliance purposes (e.g., billing records).
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information in your account
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your analysis history
- Opt out of non-transactional communications
To exercise any of these rights, use the options in your account settings or contact us directly.
8. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following third-party services to operate SimpleJobMatch. Each has its own privacy policy governing its use of your data:

We do not permit these providers to use your data for any purpose other than providing their services to us.
9. Cookies and Tracking
SimpleJobMatch uses session cookies to maintain your logged-in state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral tracking cookies. We do not use analytics platforms that track individual users across sites.
10. Children's Privacy
SimpleJobMatch is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the service. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
